Talpiot debunked

September 20th, 2007 by Danny Zacharias

Vision TV (in Canada) is launching a new series on archaeology called “Unearthed.†It’s first episode focuses on the Talpiot Tomb and seriously challenges Simcha Jacobovici. Because it is a brand new series, the website is still under construction, but you can view a teaser of the first episode on the website now.

The documentary is set to air on 12 November 2007.

I thought Jacobovici’s perspective was an excellent presentation. Either way, if one is secure in their spirituality, his work shouldn’t affect it.

I disagree whole-heartedly :-) The foundation of the Christian faith is historical circumstances. So if Jacobovici’s thesis was correct, then “Christian spirituality” would need to be done away with. Maybe not quasi-Christian spirituality or a spirituality that borrows some Christian elements. But the bedrock of orthodox Christian faith is the literal death and resurrection of Jesus.
